5tumpy's Story:

I bought the car in April 2004, after writing off a Magna. I saw her in a lot while looking for EL’s and fell for her on the spot. I was driving her out of the yard the next day. I did the stereo straight away with some left over money, and of course went a lil nuts… LOL… But after that I kept her stock, except for a cannon muffler I installed when I was rear-ended and the stock tip got bent. I joined TBF in May 2006. After I joined, the mod bug bit me hard, and so I started doing some simple mods.

This is her before I started modding her.

First off I upgraded my snorkel to the AUIII XR8 snorkle, and put in a K & N panel filter. Then, as the driver’s seat was literally falling apart, I upgraded my seats to XR seats I bought from a wrecker’s. Next, I decided that the car looked too boring, so I decided to buy some black Altezza taillights I found on Ebay. I decided that the cannon had to go, it just wasn’t pulling it, so it was time to finally do what I should have done in the first place and put a cat-back in. So off I went to SureFlo Exhaust at Ingleburn, who did a fantastic job, my car now has a fantastic growl, and the double D tip looks fantastic. For those that are interested, the cat-back is “SureFlo Custom Exhaust” that consists of a custom mild steel pipe leading to the 1st muffler, a SureFlo muffler, which leads into a Redback tailpipe with a Hotdog, and a double D twin tip.

My exhaust, taken the day I brought it home.

That’s all the mods I have done for now, as I am getting married next year, and the missus has been great up til this point, and I don’t want to push the relationship any further… LOL… Will definately be putting DBA Slotted rotors in when the current ones wear out though.

Thanks to Marcarthur Parts Wrecker’s for their patience and help putting the seats in, when I nearly stripped the bolts out, and also to SureFlo Exhaust for putting up with my inane noob questions. And, of course, to Tom, Shane, Duggy and all the boys for all their advice and help along the way.

Taken at Mann's Point Lookout at Greenwich in Sydney.

Duggy reckons:

Bryce's AU is a lesson in just how good a Forte can look with only a few, well chosen but highly effective changes (and none of them including the grill! - I love it...)
