Adam's EB 5.0 litre Fairmont Ghia
An apprentice's dream:
(Back to Visitors Cars.)

Manufactured in the second month '93, Adam could never have dreamed that some day this bent eight powered Fairmont Ghia would have been his at such a young age - but it is and we've all turned a deep shade of green!  Considering most of us had 20 y.o bombs at this age, you can understand what I mean.  Looking for a luxury car that could also double as a quick ride when the time arose Adam looked for quite a while before spotting this particular beast.  Starting with a 5.0 litre EB II, she already came with all the good bits attached (which suited Adam fine) including full electric windows, cruise, automatic climate control, good stereo etc etc and included the factory optioned full leather interior for good measure - just in case you didn't get the fact that this was supposed to be a luxury car!

Yet, as good as all this might be Adam still wanted more (understandably) so out came the factory stereo and in went a CD player - smart move considering the latest technology vs. the old cassette systems...  Ensuring this Ghia makes the correct tunes outside as well as inside is a full 2 1/2" exhaust system hooked up to the factory headers although more is coming soon once the bank balance recovers to a more favourable shade of black.

So far the mods have been kept to 16" EL Tickford alloys, Kings super low progressive rate springs, an EB XR8 boot spoiler, K & N Ram pod air filter, a security upgrade, woodgrain dash kit and an ED chrome Fairmont Ghia grill.  Adding at least 5 hp Adam went right ahead and sprayed the engine dress-up plate in red matching the Tickford engines fitted to the XRs.  All in all not too bad for only three months of ownership and apprenticeship wages!

Being only 19, you can understand funds are a little tighter than they should be at the moment - however when they come good there's a whole list of goodies on Adam's wish list such as tinted windows, extractors and a sports exhaust.  Helping on the go side will be a new cam, Uni chip, Herrod 70mm throttle body combined with SVO 70mm mass air flow meter - all working through a proposed EB GT upper intake modifold.  Also on the 'things to do' list for the interior are a full Alpine stereo system, 3 way electric sun roof and finally a factory Momo leather steering wheel including cruise control buttons.  Donut wise Adam is not totally satisfied with his choice so far so will be going for a set of CSA 'Prowlers' or Speedy 'Ravens' as soon as the money allows.

- Sounds to us like Adam has a heck of a lot of saving to do!  Go Adam!!!
