EL Falcon - Rear Shock Absorbers.
Due to the softer rear springs installed in back of the EL, dampening had to be adjusted to suit. In just as many ways it was a response to the nervous handling EF (although you wouldn't know it until you took it to the extremes) - and to obtain a firmer handling response. The following characteristics relate to the various levels of shock absorber velocity during suspension compression due to impact. |
| 0 - 0.1 m/sec, Initial Impact. | Soft for reduced impact harshness and smooth rolling feel. |
| 0.1 - 0.5 m/sec, Medium Impact. | Firm to control body movement and float resulting in improved handling and feel. |
| Greater than 0.5 m/sec, High Impact. | Rebound, damping limited to remain ride quality. |
