The Story of the Detroit Native:

"I purchased my 68 Falcon from a Ford dealer in December,2005. I paid $1778.00 US for her out the door. She had at the time 50800 miles on the clock, and has never been molested. I am the third owner, and plan on keeping her for many years to come."
"I plan on doing the bodywork and a respray hopefully very soon. My friends want me to install a V-8, but I think she’s too original to monkey around with. I know that the 2-door body style wasn’t offered in Australia, at least in the XR to XY series, but would have made one hell of a 351 GT!"
"I use my Falcon for both daily driver duties, and for pleasure rides….Cruising!! I get a lot of complements on it…how straight and original it is…She now has 59500 miles on the clock. I change the oil every 3000. So far I’ve put in a new radiator, put new brake shoes on the front, and had a new exhaust installed. I don’t know when the last time she had a tune up done, the ignition leads seem to be copper core, and the dizzy cap says “Autolite”! In the glovebox I found the original owner’s manual, the original bill of sale, and the “write up” sheet. The only option on my car was the C-4 Cruise O Matic trans, which automatically upgraded the engine from the 170 inline 6 to the 200 inline 6."

We reckon:

“There are plenty of Aussies who’d be interested to see this one – without having to mention the unbelievably good condition it’s in!  What a find!  And as a member of the Falcon Car Club of America as well as the TBF Official American Correspondant – you know there are plenty of questions to be asked and Mark’s just the man – you can catch him on our Forum…”
