Ahhh - how was Martin to know Citric Acid is one of my favourite colours?  Taking this promotional shot from FPV's own website, Martin has dropped the lot and added his own interesting touches that all in all end up in a very delicious concept that deserves to be copied!  Finally, recognizing that 18" is way tall enough (for Australian roads that is) Martin has chosen to keep the wheels at their standard diameter this time - lining up for more subtle touches this time.  - Such as the deletion of the Ford oval from the grill creating a menacing 'mouth' - and the addition of carbon fibre to the already slick looking bumper air intake surrounds.  But what finishes it all off in our opinion is those stripes - angled back to suit the BA's bonnet and in a silver just deep enough to give it the depth required for a truly delicious result...  Moving on:

Could this be another of Ford's future hero colours?  Let's hope so - with echoes of 'Electric Blue' (what else could you call it?) or 'Violet Sunrise' turning this XLS from another also-ran into something really, really special...  Helping the effect no-end is of course the serious drop in altitude and factory rims turned 19" but what really tops it all off is once again - those stripes (we can imagine them running across the body coloured ute hard top and down the tail gate - hmmm - yummy!)  Just proving that once again it doesn't have to be an XR to really wow the crowd...  To put it quite frankly, we love it so much we hope that somebody takes this suggestion seriously enough to build it.   Top stuff once again Martin - go you good thing...
