In a battle to win back some street cred and with a new Falcon being released in September, fans can thank Geoff Polites for the original inspiration for this pair - and Nik for his version of the ultimate 2-door TE50 & TS50s!!! Starting with Ford's promotional shots of the TS50, Nik dragged this particular example down into the weeds disappearing the Blue-Oval from the grill for that ultra clean frontal look making the whole lot look wider. And unlike the Hillier Conversion (of Tenterfield, NSW), Nik chose to retain the AU's roof at full height keeping that classic glass-house look on his two-door conversion.
On his second effort however, things got a little more serious taking the same car and adding wild 20" versions of the TS50's wheels - just enough to kick in the drool factor something serious! Not content to leave it at that he cleverly enlarged the front bumper opening dragging the top lip skywards adding Australian Mustang style driving lights just above their previous which now conveniently act as air ducts for those huge Brembo brakes! What can we say except sheer brilliance! There's no doubt Nik's creation takes the cake when it comes to producing some slick looking automobiles - with more to come - "My next project is an AU wagon". Sounds great to us - watch this space!
So I'll let Nik finish this session off with a classic saying that deserves to be repeated from here to Timbuktoo - "All For Ford And Ford For All!"
