| Pitty the Commodore driver who pulls up at the lights and decides to give this Fairmont Ghia a run for it's money! Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing... Zeus (his real name with-held to protect the innocent) hasn't mucked around when it comes to selecting the latest hot up options for his pride and joy. A STA Supercharger takes pride of place next to that sweetest of all Falcon sixes - with Variable Cam Timing to boot. The entire supercharger package set Zeus back a hefty $5800 - but the effect was worth it. This motor produces 168Kw in standard form (172Kw in the XR6 VCT) - but thanks to the supercharger in Zeus' ride a very healthy 257Kw @ 4500 rpm now resides between the chassis rails of this late model Falcon. Kind of makes the 171Kw (std supercharged V6) and 180Kw (XU-6) of the Commodore look a little bit silly doesn't it? Helping out is a high flow cat, Pacemaker headers and 2 & 1/2" stainless steel exhaust from the cat backwards. |  |

Making sure Zeus is able to stop from any speed he chooses - is a set of larger T-Series discs & twin piston calipers on the front. The front rotors are 329mm in diameter and 28mm thick, with curved grooves cut into both the front and rear discs. All up, the braking package cost Zeus $3500 - a worthwhile investment in safety. Says Zeus "The difference in braking is a tighter pedal and better wearing brakes with no warping or overheating." A set of Tickford 17" rims and factory sports suspension rounds up this awesome handling and braking package to a T - and ensures no Commodore short of a HSV will be able to come near this Falcon!

This 99' build Fairmont Ghia wears it's Regency Red paintwork with pride - which combined with the 17" wheels and classic shape of the AU makes for an awesome looking Falcon. "Driving it after the blower was fitted it gave me the experience of my life....talk about ADRENALINE rush...WOW..!!!" l haven't got any pics of the interior or under bonnet yet sorry. My brother in-law has a supercharged VX Commodore and it blew him away from start to finish! l love coming up to the lights alongside Commodores, they look at it as if its just another Ford but when we take off it tells them the FULL STORY...........SO LONG SUCKERSSSSS!!!!
