Progress is being made slowly to getting the big brakes and 17s on our much loved Ghia and now its time to have the front guards rolled and the rear guard lips ground back to the spot welds to give us all the room possible. We figure the paint will crack when the fronts are rolled so the guards will have to be painted, hopefully the back will be ok.

Has anyone had this done and is there anything we should be aware of. The panel shop we went to has a purpose built dohicky for the job, not just a bit of scaffold tube jammed against the wheel.

Cheers

A hairdryer! What a great idea. I'll still get the panel guy to use his ubeaut rolling machine but I will definitely be there with my lovely wife's Super pro 2000.

Cheers for that.

haha, yeah i just used a pair of pliers and rolled a 3" tube over the tyre into the guard........ did the job

i guess it all depends how far the wheels stick out, whether you can bodgy it up yourself, or have to get it done properly by a pro

I'm not sure you will get anywhere using the hairdryer and rubber mallet.. it really is something you should pay to get done.
