I was wondering if anyone has seen the Galaxie 540 Concept that FPV put together for there open day this year? She was a Pearl Blue Fairmont with full Custom body kit, XR8 Bonnet, LOts of Chrome add ons and massive Momo Wheels. The thing is an absolute animal! I've only seen photo's of it in AMC Mag and I can't find any on the web yet but i'm still trying, so everyone can see it! Can anyone help?

I have now checked out everything on the Galaxie from that section and as you aluded to she has been pulled apart but not crushed! The 540 tag does mean 5.4ltr, bit of a shame, it would need that much grunt to get it's weight going! As Quoted By AMC
Quote:
FPV displayed it's project car capability with the sinister "Galaxie 540" concept (meaning 5.4ltr - not 540 cubic inches!) based on the latest Fairlane. Wearing FPV Badging and an FPV bonnet mascot, it was produced with the support of FPV Suppliers. Despite an overwhelming crowd reaction, it has since been dismantled and the parts returned
So once again Ford/FPV tease every one, but will they follow this one through???!!!!

That is a shame. From the pictures it could have been one helluva car. Let's hope that the GTHO rumour at least bears some truth.

Yeah we all seem to be hearing some rumours, but nothing as yet - this Galaxie would have made a nice HO

But using a Fairlane as a platform takes it away from the original HO's. But I wouldn't say no to a Galaxy 540 (wish that was cubic inches sigh)
