Above: In
it's original looking but very good condition paintwork this ED Fairmont Ghia
stood out but in a stealth kind of way - and it wasn't until you got up close
that you started to notice the myriad of tricks used here and there.
Things like the EF mirrors & NF Fairlane side window chrome trims & body
side protection moulding and clear blinkers! Okay, so the bonnet hinges
weren't so subtle...they kinda like smacked you in the face - but the effect was
worth it!

Above: After market
headlights looked very classy - as did the 'Ghia' insignia inset into the
lenses!!! There are just more and more of those subtle little details
everywhere you looked...

Above: 20" in size,
and 50" in impact - these rims suited the classy looks of this 'mont
perfectly! It's great to see not everybody has to go overboard to achieve
the impact they desire - especially with the EA/ED's classy looks straight from
the factory. It's a pitty though that this particular example was parked
the way it was - shelter and all. Yeah, I'm sure it kept his car cool, and
saved about 8 hours of fade - but let's just say the contrast issues it
introduces makes it DAMNED HARD to get a decent photograph!

Above: Looking this good,
who could help but try and slip in another shot of it? And despite my
frustrations over the photographic issues introduced by the shade, it wasn't a
hard effort to appreciate the work and dedication that has gone into this
particular modification scheme...
