Above: Featuring 290kW of 5.4L quad cam V8 grunt, the FG XR8 doesn't need to hide with this aptly named 'Octane' orange example fitting the bill perfectly!

Above: This was the scene at Ford's 2008 Melbourne International Motor Show stand, where trying to gain shots with nobody in the way or with the doors and boot lid shut was a task that required lots of patience!  Still, with cars looking this good...who could blame 'em!  FG F6 in the background...but more about that later.

Above: Okay, let's just zoom in a little, tilt the earth back towards horizontal... (the onlookers were really grateful for this as they didn't have to hang on so tightly any more)

Above: Okay, so you've probably seen enough of this angle by now - but when it looks this good - why not drool over another?

Above: Moving around, I thought I'd change the order a little (I'd usually include this sort of shot as the last one in a set).  Like I said - getting photos with nobody opening the doors was a reeealll challenge!  Even with a photographer standing waiting to take a shot - oh why not - lets just walk right up and open a door!  Grrr...

Above: At last!  More of a side shot...

Above: This is more of the shot low-slung sports cars drivers are likely to see.  Yeah I know - you would have liked to have seen more front shots, but to be quite honest, I somehow missed out on this angle - apart from the engine shot at the start.  Oh well, next time hey?
