The 4WD XF Adventure:

Paul purchased this beast 7 or 8yrs ago, already converted to a 4WD and complete with a healthy Cleveland 302. The gearbox was - and still is - a CFMX 3 speed gearbox complete with B&M quickshift. By Paul's own admission, and as the pics show - these days it is tiring a little and in need of some paint and other work but Paul has some major plans! Read on!
As is evident from this engine bay photo (obviously taken after a run through a river!!!) the suspension shoulders are no longer required and have been removed, opening up the engine bay for a very easy fit of the V8.The shaker looks at home sitting on top of the air cleaner, and certianly makes this one a 1-of-a-kind!
Underneath the auto is coupled with a transfer case and Dana (Jeep) 4WD diffs and running gear for offroad capabilities. There is little doubt this setup gives this V8 4WD access to all areas!
An EA Falcon dash has been fitted to modernise the interior a little, and specially reupholstered "Falcon 4x4" seats finish it off, though the ute could probably do with a new stereo to fill up that gap!

Paul has enjoyed the vehicle but says: "I'd like to explore the option of upgrading with newer body and engine before fully doing up this one. Watch this space......." Paul has mentioned on the forums that he thinks an XH or BA ute shell could site pride of place on the chassis making this the ultimate modified 4WD ute!

We reckon:

You won't see another one of these around! A V8 XF is rare enough (with none coming from the factory!) but fitted with a shaker and sitting on a chassis like this? Very unique! Can't wait to see it when it's 'fixed up'!
