This picture is a copy of a poster that was displayed at the 1999 Tickford Open Day and forms one of a collection that were submitted during the design process of the AU Falcon series I. This has to be my favourite of the three drawings included here (there is a fourth which I will get some day) with it’s Mustang style grill and EL XR6 bonnet vents. The combination of high mounted EL XR6 inner headlamps and Mercedes E-class style outer headlamps looks great, as does the angled number plate surround to match the grill (doubt whether this would have looked good in real life though). The different shaped mirrors are interesting, along with the body colour right up to the windows on the mirror stem (an interesting idea to try at home). Combined with a great set of wheels painted white and this combo’s got my vote for sure. Could give some ideas for an aftermarket kit hey? Anybody?
