Now as if the XB's shape wasn't sensuous enough on it's own...ooohhh yeah!

Right shape...right colour...right wheels...perfect!

Now if there's one area where I rekon the XA and XB are let down a little bit, it's in the instruments.  This however is not a problem for this particular example.  Note neat Superbird decal on glove box lid, aftermarket shifter neatly blended in to custom consol and late model steering wheel bringing together that high-tech in a early model body look...  Below:  Classic rear quarters that never age!  Note EF Fairmont arm rest, interior door handle & map pockets matching the other high-tech additions for a well balanced feel.

Now just to really get things out of order - a XC Fairmont showing just how right Ford got it - stock colours / vynal roof and all - and then stuffed it completely by putting on the wheels that it did!  Oh well - plenty of opportunity for improvement!

From this angle it's not hard to see why some have listed the XC as their favourite sedan ever...  To the owner's credit, not only was most of the car stock (when this is what stock looks like - who needs to go over the top?) but it carried it's original black ribbed suede interior and wind-back steel sun roof too.

Does it really need any explaination?  No - I thought not...

Just in case you missed it the first time - check out the colour of that interior!  And did I mention the door trims and seat shapes?  Don't get me wrong - black interiors are great - but every now and then it's nice to see a bit of creativity used when selecting which cows to hunt...  Below:  Finally!  Caught with the doors closed...
